SOLEX College offers English as a Second Language programs at various levels. Students can choose from month-long, multiple month, or year-long programs in skills-levels and options of their choice.
Programs at SOLEX College
SOLEX College offers one primary program: English as a Second Language. Within that program, students have four options:i
- An Intensive English Program that takes nine months and results in a certificate
- A summer Intensive English Program that takes three months and awards a certificate
- An Intensive English Program designed for tourists that takes nine months and results in a certificate
- Pathways to University Programs that offer a certificate and help students understand the cultural underpinnings of college in the United States. Students can also develop their English to help prepare for university-level education
Tuition at SOLEX College
As of 2017, SOLEX College had a progressive tuition structure for its programs.
For the Intensive English Program, students paid for specific numbers of months. The more months students purchased, the more money they saved. In 2017, one month cost $720, five months cost $3,200, and nine months cost $4,950. Paying for 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, or 8 months were also options. This program offered 18 hours per week and covered four skills in the English language.ii
For the Summer Intensive English Program, students paid $720 for one month, $1,400 for two months, and $2,040 for three months. This program offered 18 hours per week and covered four skills in the English language.iii
For the Intensive English Program for Tourists, students paid different amounts for different numbers of hours, skills, and months. 13.5 hours for 3 skills over 1 month, for example, cost $540. 4.5 hours for 1 skill over 1 month cost $180. The longest program, offering 13.5 hours/month, 3 skills, and nine months of instruction cost $3,714. Hours, skills, and months were offered at various amounts in between.iv

SOLEX College Admissions
SOLEX College has an open admissions policy, and prospective students can register for programs throughout the year. To apply to programs, applicants must:v
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent and be at least 18 years of age
- Have an ACT cumulative score of at least 19 or a Wonderlic score of at least 21
- Demonstrate English proficiency
- Interview with SOLEX’s admissions team
- Complete an application and pay a $150 comprehensive fee
- Meet any additional requirements according to specific programs
Accreditation at SOLEX College
SOLEX College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award occupational associate’s degrees and certificates.i
