For 175 years the University of West Alabama (UWA) has been providing an enriching academic experience to students throughout the Southeast region of the United States. Since 2002, UWA has expanded its reach by offering undergraduate and graduate programs online.

The Academic Experience at UWA

UWA online courses are developed by the very same faculty teaching on-campus. The University of West Alabama provides online students with technical support, career counseling services, academic advisement, financial advisement, as well as access to the full array of resources in our Julia S. Tutwiler Library. And of course, you are very welcome to come to campus for graduation ceremonies.

You can complete your course work in the privacy of your home or office at times that are convenient to you. There are no overcrowded classrooms, no lost time commuting, or rigid class schedules to contend with. You can even take exams in the comfort of your home. In order to provide additional program integrity, UWA utilizes state of the art technologies for proctoring exams. We've taken the extra steps to ensure that the quality of your course work never comes into question. You earn your degree your way.
