Rooted in Rich History
Since 1842, Bethel University has held a noteworthy place in Tennessee history. The school survived turbulent times during the Civil War, the Great Depression, a physical relocation to accommodate railroad construction, and major expansions in its academic offerings and student population.
Today, Bethel University is a co-ed school with a campus in McKenzie, Tennessee and with several satellite locations — plus online programs that can be completed from anywhere! In the last 10 years alone, the student body has quadrupled. Despite its growth, Bethel hasn't lost its close-knit feel. Faculty and administrators accommodate students from 24 states and 21 countries, while maintaining a student/teacher ratio of 18 to 1.
