Capella University's degree programs in nursing are designed to prepare experienced nurses to meet the growing need for leadership, education, and research in the nursing profession. For example, the National League for Nursing recognizes that our Nursing Education specialization aligns with the Core Competencies for Nurse Educators©, using competencies that are integral to the Certified Nurse Educator® (CNE) exam. And unlike many DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) programs, Capella's DNP focuses on administrative, organizational, and systems leadership competencies to prepare you for a variety of nursing leadership positions. The DNP curriculum incorporates The Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Project Management

Capella is a recognized leader in project management education. Choose a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree specialization in Project Management with either a business or an IT emphasis. The Project Management Institute (PMI®) Global Accreditation Center (GAC) has accredited Capella's BS-IT, MS-IT, and MBA Project Management specializations.

As a Project Management Institute Registered Education Provider, Capella has been approved by PMI to issue Professional Development Units (PDUs) for more than 25 of its project management courses.
