Online Degree Programs at the University of Florida

The University of Florida is a major, public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university. It is the State of Florida’s oldest (1853), largest and most comprehensive university; it is among the nation's most academically diverse public universities. UF has a long history of established programs in international education, research and service. It is one of only 17 public, land-grant universities that belongs to the Association of American Universities (AAU).

The University of Florida libraries form the largest information resource system in the state of Florida, containing more than 4 million volumes, more than 7 million microfilms and thousands of full-text electronic journals. The extensive collections include formats ranging from manuscripts to electronic texts and are distributed in libraries across campus close to the colleges and departments they serve. Library collections are accessed through the online catalog.

The Online Library Catalog is available for students to check anywhere, anytime. It contains books, electronic books (e-books), print and electronic journals (e-journals) links. If students require a resource not in the catalog, an interlibrary loan option is available.

College of Pharmacy

University of Florida's College of Pharmacy, ranked as one of the top 10 in the nation by US News and World Report, offers its world-class Doctor of Pharmacy blended online degree program for licensed pharmacists. Beginning in 1994, the Working Professional Pharm.D. (WPPD) program has grown to be the largest and most sought after pharmacy program for employed pharmacists to earn the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. This distance learning program provides all the outcomes and benefits comparable to the University of Florida's campus-based entry-level Pharm.D. program, but with no campus attendance required. Using online learning technology and regional locations, we bring our faculty and top-ranked pharmacy program directly to you. We make it easy to choose the best. Now is the time to get started!

While most working professional Pharm.D. programs just bridge the degree gap, the advanced content of the University of Florida program complements your practice experience for a higher level of competence and autonomy. With a focus on proactive disease state management, you will learn a consultative approach to identifying drug-related problems and systematically applying drug knowledge to resolve and prevent these problems.

College of Engineering

The UF College of Engineering is ranked as the #1 engineering college in Florida and as one of the top 25 in the nation by US News and World Report magazine. Our faculty brings their expertise and enthusiasm into the classroom to provide students with the most up-to-date knowledge in the field. Since College of Engineering graduate degrees are delivered to distance learning students via the UF EDGE program, students are subject to the exact same admission requirements and curriculum standards as the on-campus graduate students; the graduate degrees are identical for both on-campus and distance learning students.

The University of Florida College of Engineering has been providing lifelong learning for the practicing engineer since 1964. Courses taught by full-time UF faculty are recorded in studio classrooms at the UF Gainesville campus. UF EDGE students, access these lectures anywhere, anytime - whatever is convenient for your schedule. Lectures are accessible for the entire semester, allowing you a chance to review a complex lesson or prepare for exams.
