A Christian-centered Education
Why Choose OKWU?
OKWU Online as part of the Adult & Graduate Studies at Oklahoma Wesleyan University exists to provide adults with Christ-centered, quality, professional education. Oklahoma Wesleyan University transforms the concept of integration of faith, learning, and living into action. OKWU Online is designed so students can experience a warm, interactive learning community. As a student in OKWU Online, you will never feel disconnected.
While many universities talk about this concept, at OKWU we engage students in the real-world discussions and decisions surrounding this concept. Faculty within each of the University's five schools have developed focused areas, which we call collision points, where we believe the secular worldview collides with the Christian worldview. The discussion and research of each collision point is intertwined throughout course material in every class that students take during their time at OKWU.
How long is each course? Is it completely online?
Each online course is 5-6 weeks in length. All assignments, tests, and correspondence with faculty and other students are conducted 100 percent online; there is no residency requirement.
The very nature of learning online requires more in-depth study and interaction with faculty and other students than what is traditionally required. Students can expect to spend fifteen to twenty hours of study time per week per online class. There are established timelines for submitting assignments and for class participation. You will be responsible for completing weekly assignments and participating in online threaded discussions.
