The majority of Extended Campus courses are delivered online and can be conveniently accessed anytime, from any place. Extended Campus online courses are developed exclusively for the virtual classroom by experts engaged in the latest distance education technologies.

Online and distance courses offered through Extended Campus are taught by OSU faculty and carry requirements for reading, research and examinations that are parallel to on-campus courses.

Throughout the year, we offer over 400 courses in more than 60 subjects. Our award-winning programs are nationally acclaimed, serving students in all 50 states and around the world.

Resources and Relationships

Student-instructor and student-student connections are highly interactive and typically occur via online discussion boards where you can post comments viewed by all or a select group of classmates. Extended Campus students are expected to be familiar with computers, the Internet and email. Computers with access to the Internet, sound capabilities and virus protection software are required.
Geographic Restrictions:
There are no geographic restrictions when enrolling as an OSU Extended Campus student.
On-Campus Requirement:
The majority of our courses may be taken online from anywhere in the world. However, some of our graduate and endorsement programs include on-site requirements.
Loans Offered:
A need-based grant is available to deserving students who are admitted and enrolled in a part- or full-time program of study offered through OSU Extended Campus. Degree-seeking Extended Campus students may be eligible for federal and state financial aid.
Registration Details:
Students must be admitted to Oregon State University to begin a degree-seeking program. The application may be completed online.
