Who should take an online degree?

An online degree program is ideally suited for working adults with busy or variable schedules, as well as for individuals who are geographically unable to come to St. Joseph’s College New York campuses. Online learning allows you to participate in a degree program at the time and place best suited for you.

Is an online degree right for me?

Our online degree programs reflect the high standards of academic excellence established at St. Joseph's College. Our courses will teach you innovative concepts so you can gain the skills needed to enhance your career.

What is the online course experience like?

As with any other course, an online class involves reading, completing assignments/projects, and taking examinations, all of which is done through the universally recognized Blackboard software system that supports the courses. Through this system, you will participate in regular online discussion groups that focus on the material being covered. You will have an interactive experience with the faculty and other students in the class. In this supportive environment, everyone has his or her say. And because the online class is asynchronous, you can participate whenever it is convenient for you.

Another special feature of the program is the e-portfolio. Over the course of your studies, you will be collect samples of your work and post them to an electronic portfolio contained within the Blackboard system. In this way, you will have established for yourself a portfolio that will document your academic development and provide samples of your highest quality work.
