Kendall's Early Childhood Education bachelor’s degree program leading to licensure includes field experiences and student teaching components at both the pre-primary and primary levels. The program prepares you to apply for the Illinois Teaching License. This license qualifies you to teach Pre-K through Grade 3, or work with children from birth through age eight in environments where certification or a teaching license is required. Choose to earn your degree online or on campus. Choose one format or mix them both to suit your schedule and learning preferences. Kendall also offers six Early Childhood Education concentrations - Childhood Nutrition, English as a Second Language (ESL), Grant Management, Infants and Toddlers, Special Education or Small Business Management. By concentrating in Special Education, and completing the required coursework, you will be able to apply for an Early Childhood Special Education approval on your license. Those who complete the ESL concentration, plus additional coursework, will be eligible to apply for an ESL or Bilingual endorsement on their Illinois Teaching License.
