A person suffering from neurosis or addictive disorders or whose behavior is seen to be problematic has lost himself to the demands of something which is beyond his control. It controls him - rather than the reverse. To fully recover, to overcome the problem, the individual must transcend both himself and the problem by developing and maintaining a belief beyond and greater than both. |
