Course Title:
Introduction to Philosophical Approaches to Religion (RELI 122)
School:
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Friday Center
Description:
This course is an introduction to philosophical inquiries regarding religion. Throughout the course, we will address theological questions such as: Does God exist? What is the nature of the divine? Is there life after death? Addressing these questions from a philosophical standpoint requires relying on human insights rather than the use of sacred texts. We will read authors from many faith traditions, and, in so doing, we will encounter vastly different solutions to longstanding religious questions.
