Saint Joseph University's Online Master of Science in Special Education is based on Response to Intervention (RTI) leading to a Master of Science in Education degree. The program is designed for individuals holding Level 1 early childhood, elementary teaching certification or secondary teaching certification who are seeking to become highly qualified with a certification in Special Education (pre-K through 12th grade). In addition this degree is well suited for teachers certified in Special Education who are seeking an advanced degree and general educators who are seeking a Master's degree based on state-of-the-art, research-based theory and instructional practice for meeting the diverse needs of their student population.
