Degree Title:
Master of Project Management
College:
DeVry University
Description:
DeVry's 14-course (42 semester-credit-hour) Master of Project Management (MPM) program is designed to help students develop the ability to solve real-world management problems, and to exercise sound management judgment through practical application of project management concepts and skills. In addition to successfully completing five management core and six program-specific courses, one of which is an integrated capstone course, MPM students must receive credit for three elective courses. DeVry University is in the process of having this Project Management degree accredited by the PMI® Global Accreditation Center (GAC). Unlike traditional business management, which concentrates on ongoing functions and existing operations, project management is an evolving discipline that focuses on pioneering and developing new ideas. MPM students are taught specific concepts and skills required to successfully implement new, or enhance existing, commercial and/or technical programs. In addition, they learn to develop and apply new procedures to resolve existing problems.
