The Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership is designed for practicing teachers to further their professional development while providing a much needed resource, teacher leaders. Aligned with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), this 30-semester hour master’s program renews and strengthens teachers' commitment, improves knowledge and skills, and prepares teachers to be instructional leaders. The MATL program is ideal for the successful experienced teacher who seeks a challenging, high quality master's degree program, requires flexible offerings and choice of subject matter, and seeks a leadership position in teaching. Teachers can pursue a 3 course specialty area in National Board Certification as part of the degree program. Roosevelt’s National Board program boasts a 90% pass rate on the board exams.
