Education Specialist Teacher Leadership

The Education Specialist degree is specifically designed to certification requirements in the following areas: Elementary Education, School Counseling, Instructional Leadership, Teacher Leader, Collaborative Special Education (K-6), Collaborative Special Education (6-12), Early Childhood Education, Secondary Education and Library Media. The Education Specialist degree is also designed to provide the student with the skills necessary to become creative problem solvers, leaders, and instruments of change in the school.

To be admitted to this program, the prospective student must meet all requirements for admission to the School of Graduate Studies and hold valid master’s level certification in any teaching field or area of instructional support. Three years of full time teaching experience in a P-12 setting and a portfolio are also mandatory. Required contents of the portfolio may be found in the Graduate Catalogue.
