Human Resource Leadership - Dispute Resolution Specialist Certificate

A certificate in Organizational Dispute Resolution is designed for working professionals in Human Resources (HR) or for those wishing to enter this specialty field. This certificate program allows students to gain essential knowl­edge in the foundations of HR management and skills specifically related to human and emotional aspects of conflict, communication, cultural issues, effective negotiation techniques and alternate dispute resolution methods (e.g. mediation, arbitration and ombuds). Students will explore the dynamics and benefits of diagnosing conflict, examine recurrent themes of conflict causes, and determine which method of alternative dispute resolution is most appropriate for various workplace conflicts. All of the courses for the certificate program are offered online to facilitate working professionals. With the addition of an associate degree, the courses in the certificate pro­gram can be applied to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Leadership.
