Here is a partial list of some of the factors to consider when selecting an e-learning course , degree or learning provider :

COURSES & DEGREES:

  • What delivery media & technologies are used?

  • What interaction tools and strategies are used?

  • Does the instructor have previous experience as an online learner or instructor?

  • What credentials does the instructor have?

  • How many students will be in the course?

  • Are their any pre-requisites, or entrance criteria?

  • How will your work be evaluated?

  • How do the costs compare to other learning options?

COLLEGES & SCHOOLS :

  • Are their programs & offerings accredited ?

  • What is the online reputation of this college or school?

  • Can you speak to employers who have hired their graduates?

  • Can you speak to learners who have used their offerings?

  • What types of resources will be available to you?

  • How long have they been offering e-Learning?

  • Do they use a learning management / delivery system of a leading vendor?

  • What colleges or schools are their major competitors?
