Army Tuition Assistance (TA) provides financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of a soldier's professional and personal self-development goals.

The program is open to nearly all soldiers (officers, warrant officers, enlisted) on Active Duty, and Army National Guard and Army Reserve on Active Duty.

There are some restrictions to who may use Army Tuition Assistance and what courses it can be used for. Download AR 621-5 (Army Continuing Education System Regulations) to get further details.

As of 2006, you must register on the GoArmyEd Web site in order to obtain TA for classes. Register for a login/password as soon as possible, even if you?re not planning on taking classes yet.

A couple of TA Army-specific questions...

Can soldiers at remote and deployed sites continue their college education?

Yes. There are Education Centers in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Qatar, the Sinai and Kuwait. Soldiers deployed to those areas should contact the Education Center in their area for assistance. Or click here to find other Education Center contact information.

Where can more information regarding Army Tuition Assistance be found?

Direct questions regarding Tuition Assistance to a local Army Education Center. A list of contacts for the U.S. Army Reserve and the Army National Guard may be found at GoArmyEd®.
