About ATC
Albany Technical College, a public post-secondary institution of the Technical College System of Georgia, provides technical education and training support for evolving workforce development needs of Southwest Georgia. The following purposes of Albany Tech are based on the concept that education benefits individuals, businesses, and the community:
- To provide quality competency-based associate degree, diploma and technical certificates of credit programs that prepare students for employment in business, technical sciences, allied health, personal services and industrial careers.
- To provide basic adult education and development programs to help adults improve life skills and prepare for continued education and training.
- To contribute to the technological advancement of area businesses and industry through education and training.
- To offer comprehensive continuing education courses and programs for the advancement of skills, knowledge and personal growth.
Albany Tech has adult learning centers in all seven of its service delivery counties. Today, more than 8,000 full-time students are enrolled in credit programs per quarter. Another 2,500 are enrolled part-time and in adult education seminars, continuing education courses, teleconferences and customized business training.
What You Can Expect from ATC's Online Courses
Accessing Your Online Courses at ATC
ATC uses ANGEL and e-Learn to deliver online courses. Your instructor will provide a calendar on the course site that will provide due dates for assignments, tests and other course work. Most instructions, assignments, and tests are found inside your ANGEL or e-Learn course site. Completed work is submitted directly from the course site or sent via e-mail to your instructor.
Student Support
Instructors at ATC want to see you succeed! You can contact your instructor anytime by phone or e-mail and receive a response within 24 hours or the end of the next business day. Technical student support is available should you need assistance.
Financial Aid
Financial assistance is available to help eligible students pay for their educational expenses at Albany Technical College. Staff members will help students apply for the appropriate financial aid program. Albany Technical College is approved for veterans' training under various programs.
