Ball State + Online
Through Ball State University's online program, students experience rigorous and relevant courses taught by professors who are leaders in their fields — all delivered through an online university environment that is vibrant, friendly, and more interactive than you might have imagined.
If you are a working adult or in a career transition, we offer online programs with the quality, value, and flexibility you need. Our courses are taught by professors who work closely with students to achieve success. In fact, 95 percent of our online students tell us that they are satisfied with the quality of our faculty and their educational experience.
Tradition + Innovation
Established in 1918, Ball State's main campus is located in the Midwestern city of Muncie, Indiana. We serve about 21,000 students each year.
As an accredited and comprehensive university, we offer a wealth of academic opportunities, including approximately 50 all-online degrees and certificates. For those interested in on-campus studies, we have about 180 undergraduate majors, and more than 100 master's and doctoral degrees.
Experience + Success
Respected organizations have repeatedly awarded us with national rankings and recognitions for our academic programs, our supportive environment, our cutting-edge facilities and technology, our investment in emerging media, and our commitment to sustainability. For instance, we have been named one of the best universities in the Midwest by The Princeton Review for six years and were listed among only 70 colleges and universities making the most promising and innovative changes by U.S. News & World Report.
Our support for emerging media includes a $17.7 million investment in focusing the university's historic strengths in this area.
Individual + Interactive
Our faculty members are engaged, approachable, and interested in serving your needs. And, since these same faculty members who teach on campus also teach online, you will experience the same friendly, personalized approach even if you never come to campus.
