Blue Cliff College was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1987 with the goal of becoming a respected and innovative Massage Therapy training center. In June of 1989, the College in Louisiana received its Proprietary School License from the state.

Blue Cliff College’s main campus is located in Metairie, LA. But, BCC campuses are located throughout Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. There may be a campus located closer to your home and may reduce your commute. Blue Cliff College campuses are located in the following cities.

How Many Students Attend Blue Cliff College?
879 undergraduate students were enrolled in Blue Cliff College in fall 2015. 100% of those students attended classes full-time.
Age Group of Students
The BCC undergrad student body may be different than you’re used to seeing. Many students who attend BCC are adult learners returning to their education.
60% of the student body is 25 years old or older. The remaining 40% are more traditional students and are 24 years old or younger.i
Blue Cliff College Admissions
BCC has an open admissions policy. This type of admissions process is less competitive and may not require students to submit minimum test scores or GPAs.i
While you may not be required to hit a minimum score, there are still certain documents you may be required to submit. As part of this process, you may be asked to provide the following materials.

- Proof of high school completion or equivalent
- Completed the Wonderlic Scholastic Level exam
- Demonstrated availability of financial resources
- Completed Smarter Measure assessment

BCC Financial Aid
Prospective students might be thrilled to know that financial aid may be available to many full-time, beginning graduate students (pending eligibility*). Students who received aid generally did so via grants or scholarships. Typically, grant aid comes in from federal Pell grants.
Many students also received aid in the form of student loans. These students applied for aid via federal student loan services.

The Faculty of Blue Cliff College
In the 2015 school year, Blue Cliff College employed 29 full-time and 28 part-time faculty members. Combined with BCC’s relatively smaller student population, there is a 15 to 1 student to faculty ratio.
And, 100% of professors dedicate their time to in-class instruction. No time is taken away from students to conduct outside research. In addition, classes are solely taught by professors and not graduate assistants. This way, students could potentially study under the tutelage of trained professionals in their field.i

Out of the full-time, first-time students who began their studies in 2012-13, 59% graduated within 150% of their “normal time” of completion. For a bachelors degree program, “normal time” is typically 4 years.
