School of Nursing
The School of Nursing at Cleveland State University (CSU) offers undergraduate and graduate programs in professional nursing leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree. The programs are available to qualified men and women who have been admitted to CSU. A special program of study is designed for RN graduates from diploma or associate programs to receive a BSN degree.
The purpose of the undergraduate program is to prepare professional nurses committed to the health and well-being of all people. Graduates of the program are prepared to function as generalists in community-based health care settings. They are prepared to use a preventive health framework to provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care to families, groups and communities. Cleveland State University BSN graduates are prepared for entry-level positions in nursing and graduate study. The graduate program prepares RNs for advanced specialized practice.
