Online Master of Science in Human Services
Life can offer significant challenges: demanding jobs, serious illness, financial uncertainty. Sometimes people need help to work through them successfully. The MS in Human Services offers you training to help guide children and families through difficult periods and to emerge stronger than ever.
The online MS in Human Services offers two specializations:
Administration—Learn to develop strategic plans for social service agencies, help design policy, and work with legislators on human-services-based initiatives.
Family Life Educator—Coach families to strengthen communication and build healthy methods for resolving conflict.
Our Master’s in Human Services program is grounded in Christian ethics and values about the importance of family. The hands-on curriculum emphasizes applying theory to practice and is reflected in the experiences of our faculty members, who continue their professional involvement in the Human Services field.
Lubbock Christian University’s MS in Human Services is approved by the National Council for Family Relations and meets the standards and criteria needed for the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) designation.
Graduates of the program may work in a variety of areas and settings, including churches, welfare agencies, family protective services departments, schools, and hospitals.
The MS in Human Services will launch in May of 2011 pending approval with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
